My journey

Valérie Boisson

Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner
(Pharmacopoeia, Acupuncture, Tuina)

Shiatsu Practitioner

After a professional career in live performance, mainly theater and dance, my first approach to care and Chinese medicine was throughshiatsu that I started studying atTherapeutic Shiatsu School by Bernard Bouheret in 2006.

In 2010, I traveled for a month to India to practice this massage technique in acupuncture clinics located in a Bombay slum with the NGO Barefoot Acupuncturist. Meeting the Chinese Medicine practitioners who worked there was a revelation.
As soon as I return, I register for theChuzhen Institute in Paris with the aim of professionalizing myself inTHE tuina, acupuncture and pharmacopoeia, the 3 branches that constitute Chinese medicine.

Driven by a real taste for travel and a strong desire to broaden my know-how, I went to carry outseveral internships abroad;:China(Kunming, Yunnan – 2011 and 2014),Spain (Alicante 2013) andNepal (Kathmandu 2014).

From the start, humanitarianhas played an important role in my practice. In addition to the care I provide in France, I continued my missions inIndia until 2015. I also went toIraq and in the camps ofCalais AndGrande-Synthe with the Elisecare association in 2015 as well as inTogoas part of the NGO Apprenti Orphelin d’Afrique in 2016. In February 2019, I left forEthiopia with ASF (Acupuncture Without Borders).

From Dec 2015 to Jan 2017, I was the assistant toElise Boghossian, doctor of Chinese Medicine in Paris and president of the Elisecare association.

In January 2017, I opened a new office inSaint-Rémy de Provenceuntil 2020.

Then I continue my descent towards the South in August 2020 by moving to Lanjarón, in Andalusia (Spain). I currently practice in this village in Alpujarra. Also continuing my humanitarian actions, II plan to go to the refugee camp on the island of Lesvos in Greece with Acupuncture Sans Frontières.

These incredibly rich professional and human experiences have nourished my practice and my way of considering care.
